Rather than buy new WWE DVDs of pre-WWE events and such, I'm opting to download the WWF equivalents and burn them on DVD.
But the assholes online tend to not give a shit about the versions, and so I download a 'version' of Wrestlemania CLEARLY labeled "WWF" and in no way saying "WWE" anywhere.
I play the video, and the VERY FIRST THING I SEE is a fucking WWE 24/7 logo. So I'm watching the CENSORED version.
Unfortunately the problem is more fierce for pre-Attitude era events, since WWE can still use the fat-boy WWF logo, and they regularly say "World Wrestling Federation" instead of WWF.
So my only hope of detecting the uncensored from the censored is via ENTRANCE MUSIC! Newer versions replace old music with generica.
Can you old people help me identify when old music is replaced with Generica, and which wrestlers used which themes at which events, ie, Wrestlemaniae, Royal Rumbles, and Summer Slams?

Shoot. That's what I'm here for.
Any peculiar events you're trying to verify? |

| Just, like... if any wrestler from the 80s/early 90s used a popular song and/or non-Johnston song that would be edited out of new releases. For Wrestlemania I-13, an Royal Rumbles up until 1997. |

| Yeah, there are a lot of alterations from that timeframe. I think the most glaring one is the excising of Ricky Steamboat's "Sirius" theme that I believe was an Alan Parsons Project original. Mr. Perfect used the theme from "Exodus" up until 1988. |

| That really pissed me off when I ordered 24/7. I had wanted to burn them to DVD until I watched it. |
