It appears that the wear-and-tear of being in the ring is finally catching up to a top WWE star. More than one source backstage says that Kane may only have a year or so left in the ring before he has to step away, and claims that he feels pain after matches for much longer than the average WWE wrestler.
Nagging injuries he’s acquired over the years have built up, and Kane, real name Glenn Jacobs, is showing signs of his body finally having enough.
One source claims that Kane generally doesn’t care much the storylines WWE “sticks him with”, but he remains committed to performing at a high level for the company despite his physical pain.

| That blows. But then again, his career's been on the wane for some time now. Creative don't seem to have a fucking clue how to use him anymore. He's always been really over with the fans no matter what shitty storylines they chuck at him, but these days even I (an unrepentant Kane mark) don;t really give a shit. Feuding with Khali again? For fucks sake. |

No, yeah, THAT'S the thing that fucked Kane over. Like 75% of the people who watch WWE didn't even see or remember that angle at all, and I'm all but sure Trips personally erased it from all of Creative members' and the echelon of WWE officials' minds with a Men in Black memory wiper, but yeah, that's what did it. It wasn't him jobbing to every sorry motherfucker on the roster while he was between losing feuds to Undertaker and Khali for years, it wasn't his only title reign in over five years being a three-month run with the ECW championship in which he was pinned more than, and also by, Rey Mysterio, and it certainly wasn't his slowed-down borderline-Batista level of phoning it in during his matches, no, KATIE VICK is what ruined Kane.
Goddamn I hate Kane, now that I think about it. |

He isn't retiring. He's mentioned that he hasn't any plans to retire soon and his body hasn't told him its time to retire yet. It was in a few interviews he did recently. |
