Welcome to the *new* and hopefully improved TWF Forums. The old one located at http://seancarless.proboards32.com/index.cgi, used as our forum for the past 4 years, will no longer be used. The reason for that is mainly formatting issues. Proboards doesn't allow their message boards to be url masked or embedded into web pages. This one does. This forum also allows the use of much more user-friendly tools like embeddable music, you tubes, etc.
The only real drawback to relocating here , besides obviously the loss of post counts, is the new avatar system. For whatever reason, it no longer allows you to directly upload them, but rather it gives you a list of avatars to choose from. My solution is to just start a thread in the "Random Forum" below and post the url of the Avatar you want used and one of the Moderators will add it to the list so you can use it. You can also ask for custom user titles in that forum as well.
That said, if any of the "frames" that this page are located on are a troubling issue, you can go here instead for the forum mirror: http://forum.thewrestlingfan.com/ . If the page loads slow, try refreshing the page.
Now as far as "rules" go; there aren't many. Unlike a lot of other forums, we don't censor swearing and general bad taste. In fact, we encourage it! This is a forum for those of us who can't stand the pretentious goody-goody types, and just want a place to verbally rip shit up without the threat of banning or judgment from a group of mods who really have no business running anything due to their incessant cluelessness. If you love the site, then you'll love this forum. Some people posting here may seem like assholes, but that's just because they are. But seriously, this new Forum, unlike the old one, is hopefully a place that will in turn grow into a full living, breathing extension of the site, and its all powered by you. So, post and post often! Because these next few months will be a slow process of getting back into the swing of things, with hopefully new members signing up consistently. So, feel free to recommend us or promote the new forum and help us get on our feet again, because rebuilding a forum from scratch can be a humbling venture.
And remember, post as often as you wish, and in as many categories. With your help, we can can this party started. Then be arrested and thrown into the drunk tank for disorderly conduct and sodomy. A trait that will come in handy where we'll be spending our time.
Rules to fit in at TWF:
-Don't start shit with the Mods or TWF Staff unless its good natured.
-Don't chastise "noobs" just because they're new. Chastise them only if they merit said abuse. We were all new once. Then we became jaded and evil.
-Post often and don't be afraid to start threads. Someone has to.
-Don't worry about swearing or general bad taste. TWF is not a place that will judge you if you make a Chris Benoit joke. We'll judge you if you don't laugh at it.
- Realize that the ribbing that occasionally goes on here is good natured, unless it's from Anvil.
-Don't be Emo lest you're prepared to be ridiculed.
-Occasionally comment on or show support to the Site and the Writers. This is after all, THE WRESTLING FAN's forum.
- Limit racism to doing so jokingly. I'm of the mindset that we're all equally ridiculous and deserve ridicule. But no hate mongering, please. HHH isn't the only guy to wield a big fucking hammer around here.
-You don't have to conform with us and our opinions. Stay true to yours, but if you disagree with an opinion or post, back up your argument. There's nothing worse than people who just think they're "entitled" to their opinion without having any foundation as to why they think that way. You're "entitled" to a verbal ass-kicking in this regard.
- Don't be that holier than thou type who gets all offended by everything. If you don't find the line "Mike Awesome can hang with the best of them" funny, you probably won't fit in here.
- Realize that everything said in here is tongue-in-cheek. Or if you're female. Tongue in cheeks. And maybe other places.

| I've disabled mandatory sign-ups so this can be read. When you register and try to sign in after activation...and can't..just be patient. An Administrator just has to Ok your account. There are no issues. You just aren't recognized by the Forum until we activate the pending account. I check constantly, so you won't have to wait long to sign in and post. |

| Just so everyone knows, you can adjust the frames (the one with the TWF column menu to the left of the page) by putting your browser arrow on the column border line, then left clicking. From there it allows you to manually resize the column by dragging it while still holding down left-click to whatever size you want that benfits your computer. So, if you want a full screen of the Forum, and not just 80% of it, just left click on the menu border and drag it to the left. |
